Cooler Horsemanship is a form of natural horsemanship that was developed by Don Cooler in the early 1990’s. Having dedicated himself to studying a number of top horsemanship trainers, Don developed a set of philosophies and techniques that became known as the ATRUM Method – the basis to understanding the knowledge and skills needed to build the relationship of trust and communication we all strive for with our horses.
Due to Don’s untimely death from cancer in 2004, Cooler Horsemanship, LLC is now carried on by Don’s son, James Cooler and his wife Kate Cooler. James and Kate reside at and operate out of Fiore Farms, LLC in Summerfield, NC, which is located 11 miles north of Greensboro, NC. In conjunction with continuing to develop and teach the Cooler Horsemanship program and philosophies, James is the Equestrian Director of Fiore Farms. It is the goal of both Cooler Horsemanship and Fiore Farms to build an equine community that puts the horse first, and goals second.
